Mohammed al-Sada said in a statement: "circumstances in the region shall not prevent the state of Qatar from honouring its global commitment of cutting its oil production". "I am extremely disappointed".
"[The U.S.] should be the leader trying to break this blockade and not sitting and watching what's going on and putting fuel on [the] fire".

The Doha-based airline said net profit lifted nearly 22% to 1.97bn Qatari riyals ($541m, £426m) for the year to the end of March compared to 12 months ago, as the state-owned carrier boosted passenger numbers 20% to 30 million.

It also blacklisted charity organizations including Qatar Voluntary Center and Qatar Charity, as well as some individuals sanctioned by the United States over links to al-Qaeda in 2011. "We were not allowed to give refunds to our passengers".
The UAE and Bahrain have signed the convention.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said the USA is engaged with its allies to ensure that they know where their common interest lay and what the expectations are.
