One more victory and they clinch their second title in three years.
With their 15th consecutive victory, the Warriors have the longest postseason streak for any team in the four major professional sports.
If not for Cleveland's Kyle Korver missing a three-pointer in the final minute of game three, the series would be 2-2.
"I don't think there was any concern or thoughts about history", Kerr said.
"I've been working on that shot my whole life", said Durant, who has averaged 34 points through the first three games of the Finals.
"Obviously K.D. made some huge plays down the stretch", said Warriors head coach Steve Kerr. I put the time in every year to get better, to work on your game and to be ready for those kind of moments'. The Warriors are the only team in the National Basketball Association that plays small ball better than the Celtics, and it would give them less of a strategic advantage against Boston.
And although it appears James, playing in his seventh straight Finals, will again fall short of a championship, Cleveland's superstar isn't faulting the Warriors for adding Kevin Durant to a 73-win team.
Trump Calls James Comey 'Very Cowardly'
The former Federal Bureau of Investigation director detailed "disturbing" interactions with Trump that led to his firing on May 9. Lee said even if Comey's testimony is true, "I don't see that that amounts to obstruction".
They're just not good enough to beat what may be one of the NBA's best teams ever. To make matters worse for the Cavs, Klay Thompson has found the shooting touching that he had previously lost this postseason, scoring 52 points on just 30 shots in the last two games.
Cleveland forward LeBron James (right) had 39 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists against Golden State on Wednesday night, but the Cavaliers find themse. They have seen the Cavaliers come back from a series deficit before, and they were more prepared for the best Cleveland had to offer.
Durant scored a team-high 31 points for the Warriors, who will get a chance on Friday in Cleveland to become the first team to go unbeaten all the way to a title. The Cavs missed their last eight shots and didn't score in the last 3:09 of the game.
It was the largest lead the Cavs have held in a series dominated by the Golden State Warriors and they stayed in front until 45 seconds remained in the fourth quarter.
The Warriors had the league's best record even while losing Durant late in the season to a knee injury, and really turned it on in the playoffs.
"They're going to get exhausted", Kerr recalled after the game, ESPN reports. It would take an even more unlikely comeback for the Cavaliers to prevent the Warriors from winning the 2017 NBA Finals and Durant might take less than the max in the offseason to keep the core together.
After a Game 1 loss, Cleveland kept pace with Golden State for a little more than half of Game 2. When they met last summer in NY to discuss the biggest decision of his career, neither side even focused on winning titles.
