Trump lawyer rejects Comey testimony, suggests prosecution

On Thursday just about every eyeball on Capitol Hill (and beyond) was trained on the testimony of fired Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey, as well as looking out for mean tweets from President Trump. The memos detailed his encounters with Trump, which included Trump asking him to now investigate Michael Flynn.

The contents of their conversations raise ethics and possibly legal concerns regarding Trump's conduct with the FBI, an a-political law enforcement organization, and in light of the ongoing investigations into ties between Trump's presidential campaign and the Russian governement.

Former FBI director James Comey testifies before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, on Capitol Hill in Washington, Thursday, June 8, 2017.

And in May, the Trump administration was struggling to get its message straight about why exactly Trump fired Comey, at one point saying that it had to do with an Federal Bureau of Investigation in crisis. And, heeding the cautionary tale that Comey offered from the witness table, invitees would do well not to let President Trump clear the room for a private conversation.

Mr Comey said it was a matter of circumstances, the subject matter and the "person I was interacting with".

"We're under siege. but we will come out bigger and better and stronger than ever", he said. Mr Comey said he saw the request as an "order".

Indeed, it is only by virtue of Falcinelli’s prowess in the final third that Crotone still remains in contention to survive. In Romelu Lukaku, Koeman has a player with the capability of firing Everton to far headier heights than seventh place.

The Trump administration has been subject to various embarrassing leaks, including Mr Comey's allegations that the President had asked him to drop the Flynn investigation.

The Trump lawyer also took issue with Mr Comey's admission that he had revealed some of his memos to the press.

US President Donald Trump's personal attorney Marc Kasowitz disputed James Comey's testimony.

As Comey was testifying, a White House source said Trump disputes two key points in Comey's testimony: that he asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation director to let go of the Flynn probe, and that he asked for Comey's loyalty. Trump's willingness to bend the truth concerned Comey at their first one-on-one meeting, at Trump Tower on January 6, in which Comey first informed Trump that the president-elect was not, at that time, under FBI investigation.

Comey said he felt he needed to get his account of his conversations with Trump in the public sphere in the hope that it might prompt the appointment of a special counsel, which later occurred.

"Lordy, I hope there are tapes", Comey said.
