Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks and threatened more against Iran's majority Shi'ite population, seen by the hardline Sunni militants as heretics.
Chairman and Chief executive Councilor Kacho Ahmed Ahmed Khan in a statement strongly deplored the terror attack on Iranian parliament and the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini founder of the Islamic revolution in Iran and termed Iran as the "nation which supports for humanity". And by attacking the parliament, they assaulted Iran's vibrant yet imperfect democracy.
At the outset of the National Assembly (NA) proceedings on Thursday, the House offered Fateha for martyred in the terrorist attacks in Iran.
Iranian figurehead President Hassan Rouhani followed Khamenei's lead, issuing a warning that Iran "will crush any plot or scheme by ill-wishers through unity and solidarity and its powerful security structure".

Still, many Iranians say they're not feeling the sort of outpouring of support and sympathy that usually follows an ISIS assault. At a time when regional tensions are at a historic high with the ongoing Qatar crisis, the prospect of an Iranian retaliation through the IRGC or one of its Shiite allies is petrifying, as the consequences for Iran and the region would be unfathomable.
The terrorist attacks will have serious consequences on foreign direct investments, as global companies and governments were waiting for the first signs of economic improvement to enter the Iranian market. "The present USA officials are against the principles of Islam and, unlike their statements, they are after fomenting differences among Muslims, and its example is creating terrorist groups like Daesh (the Arabic acronym for ISIS) and other groups that have been created through the funding of the U.S. affiliates and their political aids; they (the American officials) have caused the recent tragedies in the Muslim world", Khamenei reportedly said, and added, "The Shiite or Sunni does not make any difference for the Americans; they are against any Muslim who wants to live in accordance with Islamic rules and make efforts to that end".
