Apple's iOS 11 mobile operating system will not be available for the iPhone 5 and 5C or the iPad 4 when it is released in the autumn.
The bigger size of the 10.5-inch Pro means that Apple can call the tablet's on-screen keyboard full-sized. The updated 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro carries the same chipset, camera and 265 pixel density as the 10.5-inch unit, although it does have a slightly lower screen to body ratio.

That includes the ability to add drawings to typewritten documents, mark up text files, and take handwritten notes within Apple's native Notes app. With the new Core NFC framework, however, Apple could let third-party developers make use of NFC in novel ways, or it could simply expand NFC functions beyond Apple Pay for use in its own apps and services.
