Trump retweeted an article from FOX News titled "Jared Kushner didn't suggest Russian communications channel in meeting, source says". The meeting included another senior adviser in the Trump administration, as well.
Despite Trump's campaign to convince America that Obama was born in Kenya and thus ineligible to serve as president, it's possible-if not likely-he didn't even believe this to be true. The FBI and separate congressional committees are each conducting investigations into Russia's interference in the 2016 election, as well as whether any Trump associates colluded with Russian officials.

USA media have reported that Trump had pressed Comey in meetings and phone calls to pull back on the investigation.
- In an interview on CNN Tuesday, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said he believed Russian Federation aggressively interfered in the 2016 presidential election.
The White House faces mounting questions about potential ties between Russian Federation and Mr Trump's presidential campaign, which are also the subject of criminal and congressional investigations.
