ICJ has given no order on consular access for Kulbhushan Jadhav

Talking about the visit of Indian tycoon Sajjan Jindal, Aziz said that it was a private visit and there was no need for Foreign Office to issue a statement on the issue.

The Attorney General of Pakistan had even said that the order of ICJ does not change the status of Jadhav's case at all but they would come to a "logical end". "The decision to send Khawar Qureshi was a unanimous one".

"Pakistan had only five days to prepare its case", he said.

"Pakistan was set to re-challenge the jurisdiction of the ICJ after it granted injunction on Thursday on an Indian plea to stay Jadhav's execution", Dunya News reported.

Jadhav was sentenced to death after Pakistan's military court found him guilty of "espionage".

Mr. Jadhav's case is the latest flash-point in the tensions between Pakistan and India. Pakistan's stance at the ICJ would be based along these lines, he told reporters.

Fatemi was dismissed for his alleged role in leaking details of a high-level meeting during which the civilian leadership reportedly confronted the army over their alleged reluctance to combat militancy in Pakistan, PTI reported.

Jadhav was sentenced under the law of the land and he had accepted his role in "terrorist activities" in the country, Aziz said.

The ICJ on May 18 stayed the execution of Jadhav.

But at this stage, if Pakistan decides to transfer Jadhav's case to a civilian court that itself would be a victory. He explained that in the present case, the ICJ is not looking at this aspect of the matter.

In a communiqué dispatched to government on Saturday, Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior Senator Rehman Malik said that Kulbhushan's matter was issue of national sovereignty and entire nation wanted to know about its contents.
