Nigeria has opened its arms to 27-year-old WBA, IBF and IBO world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua after defeating former world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko over the weekend.

The recent incident that occurred between world heavyweight cruiser, Bash Ali and the Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung is one incident too many that how sportsmen are disrespected.

Joshua beat Wladimir Klitschko after an 11th-round stoppage - the 19th knockout of his professional career - in front of 90,000 supporters at Wembley Stadium on Saturday to secure three of the four titles previously held by Fury.

"I think it was one of the best heavyweight fights".

Joshua, who stopped the Ukrainian in the 11th round at Wembley on Saturday, immediately called out fellow Briton Fury, who beat Klitschko on points in November 2015.

Tyson Fury believes a match-up with Anthony Joshua is the only fight people want to see and claimed he would win with "one arm tied behind my back". "I've lost 18 pounds already, I can notice the difference, feeling fitter, everything is going good".

But we turn it over a little bit ... and they get some easy ones, so now we're playing from behind. He also was with the squad in practice for the first time in more than three weeks.

With Joshua having set his stall out for the biggest fight nights possible, Hearn believes the United States would provide a major market, with another possible opponent being Deontay Wilder, the American who is World Boxing Council champion. While Fury has publicly stated on a number of occasions that he is ready to return to the ring, he is yet to cleared by the boxing commission.

But according to Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn, that won't happen for another year as Fury is "not at the races".

The government said in a statement on Tuesday that it will invite the British-Nigerian boxer to the country for his association with Nigeria and humility.

Fury added: "We all saw [his career] had a life and death situation against Klitschko, but Klitschko couldn't land a glove on me".

"So if I have to go through the division to keep it entertaining, then that s what we ll do - take them out one by one".
