National Hockey League playoffs: Blues win to tie series

This is a proud team that won't go out easy, head coach Mike Yeo did not like being dominated the way his team was and was very blunt in his postgame comments, promising changes to the lineup. He was right, which is probably why captain Alex Pietrangelo conceded that the Blues must take a look in the proverbial mirror. If there is any player in the National Hockey League who can help them get there, it is certainly Tarasenko. "So I think that certainly makes a difference".

In a series in which the top players on both sides tend to cancel each other out, the Blues must get more contributions from every line. They took a quick 3-0 first-period lead on goals by Rickard Rakell, Jakob Silfverberg and Ryan Getzlaf, and the Oilers appeared be stunned by the quick onslaught.

Upshall on Saturday explained one of the more unique moments in the Blues' Game 2 win. Cody McLeod scored for Nashville in the second period.

The Predators are in a solid position heading back to Nashville. "We'll start looking toward that". "And I play with some pretty good players". We know that we have a much better level. "We obviously have to be way better".

The Blues pulled Allen with 2:43 left and came agonizingly close to equalizing with 1:08 remaining, but Paul Stastny couldn't corral a loose puck at the left post with an empty net staring at him. The Predators are 6-1 in through seven playoff games, as they also upset the Chicago Blackhawks in a first-round sweep. They were being terribly outplayed at that point, but somehow found themselves trailing just 2-1 with 27 minutes still to play.

"He's another guy that helps us get to our game", Yeo said. The Blues were outshot 34-23 and went through a stretch of not registering a shot on goal for over 13 minutes.

The last time the Ducks lost their first two at home, the Predators knocked them out of the first round a year ago in seven games. He didn't blow his whistle until Steen retaliated, though. We started the game the way we wanted to start it. St. Louis is just 2 for 21 with the man-advantage, last among all postseason teams.

Microsoft making mobile connection with Windows update
As part of its embracing other ecosystems, Microsoft announced new additions to its Windows Store - including, surprise, iTunes. The feature is expected to eventually come to the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update which, until now, has been called Redstone 3.

The Predators never got the man advantage in Game 2, and they got their first almost midway through the first period.

Ellis played a big role in limiting the Blues scoring, too.

Russell finally gave the Rogers Place crowd something to cheer about when his shot from the point deflected off Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Maroon and past Gibson with 40 seconds left in the opening period. If Nashville gets an early goal in game four it may just blow the roof off of Bridgestone Arena.

"It's two tough teams", Steen said. Even when they kill off penalties, they're only tiring out their own troops.

Tarasenko's victor came on a lucky bounce.

Unfortunately for the Blues, not enough of them did what they do best.

The Rangers now have a chance to "hold serve" at home by making the series 2-2, while the Senators get another chance to push NY to the brink of elimination in Game 4.
