Mario Melchiot has hailed Antonio Conte's intense approach as the key to Chelsea's outstanding Premier League season.
"I didn't speak with the doctor about his (Luiz's) injury but I don't think it is a serious injury for him", Conte said.
"It was convincing in the end, but we had to work very hard for it".
Yet the defender, who was named in the PFA Premier League team of the year after his outstanding displays this season, appears to have been given the good news the injury won't sideline him.
The way Conte and his players celebrated with the visiting fans at the final whistle suggested they felt it was a significant victory, but the Blues boss denied as much.
"It is very important to stay together in this moment because we must feel this season could become fantastic".
The result leaves Chelsea on the brink of Premier League title success, with the trip to Goodison Park arguably its final major test. It is a great win. "Now it is important for us to prepare the right way the next game". If we don't win against Middlesbrough we lose this great win.

Two Chelsea substitutes combined for the third goal, four minutes from the end, when, after a clever exchange with Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas slipped the ball to Willian for a simple close-range conversion.
"He did really well", said Everton manager Ronald Koeman of his midfielder's manmarking job. I was extremely surprised when one pundit said on commentary that he only expected such brilliance in the Chelsea line-up from Eden Hazard.
