The Spurs might be able to survive the loss of Parker, considering they no longer rely on him like they once did.
Aldridge played his best game of the series on both ends of the court, getting his 26 points on 12-of-20 shooting and finishing with seven rebounds and four blocks. The most likely candidate to receive first crack at replacing Parker in the lineup is veteran Patty Mills, who averaged 9.5 points per game and 3.5 assists during the regular season and contributed seven points on Wednesday against the Rockets. Harden entered Wednesday averaging 31.0 points, 8.2 assists and 5.5 rebounds this postseason. The 29th pick of last year's draft started eight games this season, but he's logged just 23 minutes in the playoffs.
There's been speculation that Aldridge might not be completely healthy, possibly dealing with a knee injury. That means he did not take the big win for granted and wanted to come back just as big in their second game in San Antonio before the action headed home to Houston. "Game 1 is good for us", the bearded one said with no hint of joy, "but we've got to get greedy".
Leonard has certainly done all he can to help the Spurs win in the postseason.

Parker, 34, is a four-time National Basketball Association champion and his absence even had an effect on the Rockets.
"I just missed shots", Harden said Tuesday night. "I missed shots. I didn't convert my layups. We shall see. We don't know".
James Harden led the Rockets with 43 points after he scored 13 in Game 2.
Rockets: Trevor Ariza made five 3-pointers in the first half, but none after that.
Warriors guard Klay Thompson said he expects Harden to put up big numbers when he plays against him.
