Sonakshi Sinha starrer Noor, which was highly praised by B-town celebs, failed to impress the audience. The romantic drama film collected Rs 1.54 crore on the first day of its release. The film also has a mini-cameo by Sunny Leone. The novel was set in Karachi while the setting of Noor has been changed to Mumbai.

In fact, Shotgun also said how leading critics have "rightly" praised Sonakshi and "given full marks for carrying this 'young, handsome and most desirable film of the day".

Momentum with Spurs for FA Cup semifinal showdown vs Chelsea
Antonio Conte believes Diego Costa will fire Chelsea to glory as they prepare for their FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham. They are easy to win for the big teams and nearly impossible for the smaller ones.

While Sonakshi, who started her career with Dabangg, has had films performing badly at the ticket windows in the recent past with movies like Lootera and Akira, the first day collection of Noor looks like another low all together. The collections are far poor than the other recently mid-budget releases, Phillauri, Naam Shabana and Begum Jaan. On the other hand, Raveena Tandon's Maatr, which is receiving an overwhelming response, has also witnessed a poor opening and even less than Noor.
