And I also, Chance, want to thank you for all the great work you're doing in Chicago.

Other inductees at tonight's 32rd annual ceremony at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York are Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Joan Baez, ELO and Yes.

"If people weren't questioning who's in and who's out and why my favorites are, it would mean they didn't care", says Harris. "I thought it would never happen", Journey guitarist Neal Schon said in his acceptance speech.

Mike McCready isn't just the lead guitarist of almost inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Pearl Jam-he's also quite the photographer.

Alicia Keys performed a medley of Shakur's songs on piano, including "Dear Mama" and "Changes".

A truncated version of the show will debut April 29 at 8pm on HBO. Lenny Kravitz led a gospel choir on "When Doves Cry", followed by a rocking take on Sign O' The Times track "The Cross". Inductees will eventually be enshrined in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum in Cleveland. We knew we were better together than apart.
