A couple of weeks after the launch of the Galaxy S8 smartphones in the U.S., Samsung has finally launched them here in India.

Samsung can't afford issues with its new Galaxy S8 smartphone when it is coming off the massive recalls of the Note 7 when it launched.

That's not all since Kuo chose to reveal even more about the upcoming Note 8 model, and said that it will come with a 6.4-inch QHD+ OLED.

As we told you last week, preorders for Samsung's new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have been explosive. The phone boasts a 6.2 QHD display with least bezels along sides.

Both the models will also come with Samsung DeX, Gear VR and a Gear 360 camera. The storage is further expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card support. This is why the new Nougat is now available for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 devices, but only in Canada.

As for security, both the phones offer a wide selection of biometric technologies including a fingerprint scanner, iris scanner and facial recognition so users can select a secure biometric authentication method that works best for them. There is an option to clean out unnecessary background apps, while another button lets you choose from various power modes, which includes optimized, game, performance, and entertainment. And now talking about the prices, the Galaxy S8 in India is priced at 57,900 INR and the larger variant the Galaxy S8+ is priced at 64,900 INR. "The Samsung galaxy s8 and s8 plus is water and dust resistant (IP68 rating)". Galaxy S8+ has a 12MP Primary Dual Pixel Camera, 8MP Front Camera and is fueled by a 3,500 mAh Battery. Furthermore, depending on release region the Note 8 reportedly features Samsung's Exynos 8895 processor or the Snapdragon 835. The phones will be available exclusively on Flipkart and Samsung retail shops from the 5th of May.
