All ages are welcome to participate in Murfreesboro's Citywide Easter egg hunt starting at 1 p.m. Saturday at Richard Siegel Community Park, 500 Cherry Lane.

If your family loves this rite of spring, you're in luck, there are several Easter egg hunts coming up soon.

On Thursday, April 13 at 7 p.m. there will be a Maundy Thursday Service preceded by a potluck soup & bread supper at 6:00.

Whitefish resident Ronnie Budge won the egg hunt with 20 eggs in her basket.

Hoboken Grace will host its seventh annual free Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8 at Mama Johnson Field, Fourth and Jackson streets, in Hoboken.

The Easter egg hunt will start at 1:30 p.m. for 10-year-olds and under. Ages 12 and younger are $5 and can hunt the eggs.

Champs-Elysees gunman was previously detained but not deemed a threat
One French police officer was killed and two others were injured during a shooting at the Champs-Elysees on Thursday night. According to the same source, Cheurfi had been detained just last February for uttering threats against police officers.

The Easter bunny will also be present at the hunt to take photos with children. "There will be a special appearance from the Keller's Easter Bunny at the park to help those hunting for the grand prizes eggs and to hand out additional prizes".

Hill said there will be small, medium, large eggs and a silver egg and a golden egg for the biggest prizes.

16-year-old Lamb is a counselor-in-training with the Nevada Blind Children's Foundation. Bring your Easter Basket to put your Easter surprises in and join the holiday fun (rain or shine) with family and friends.

Sponsors for the event also included WBLQ, In Designs, the New England Center for Anxiety, Westerly Car Wash, and Wal-Mart, which donated the plastic eggs. "And he's definitely looking forward to the candy they hide in the eggs". The event starts with a vehicle fair, then the hunt.

Although it is a non-competitive event, the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt can become pretty serious when eggs are at stake, including a couple of extra-special eggs this year, thanks to local businesses.

"We probably had about 2,000 eggs hidden out there, and there isn't a single one left." said Cassandra Bennett, a recreation assistant supervisor with DPR.
