Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that from May 26 to 28, 2017 there will be a closed beta to New Hot Shots Golf (New Minna No Golf).
The big shocker comes in the form of SCI dropping the name Hot Shots Golf in favor of Everybody's Golf.
New Hot Shot Golf will be released in Japan on August 31 exclusively on PlayStation 4 at retail and digital format. There was no news given by Sony's western branch regarding this beta, though this certainly seems to suggest that we could be getting more information very soon.
First 'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Photos Released
We'll leave a handful of our favorite season seven photos you can check out below, and the rest can be found here. We already know that literally, everyone who is still alive is getting ready for the ultimate battle.
Participation application tickets will be available to download from today through May 7 via the Japanese PlayStation Store, and you'll get a notification via e-mail on May 11 if you're accepted. The registration period ends on May 7th, and everyone who has been selected to take part in it will find out by May 11th. You might recognize the new name for the franchise as Sony has used the "Everybody's Golf" name in Japan and Europe for the past 20 years. "And what better way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise than to launch the next iteration of the series this summer".
Sure, it's dead exciting that Everybody's Golf is coming out on 29th August in America and 30th August in Europe, but the real news story is that Sony are finally retiring the Hot Shots branding in the US. You can check out a recent trailer showing the game in action below.
