The Champions League draw for the semi-finals was held at UEFA's headquarters in the Swiss city of Nyon on Friday and it threw up some exciting clashes.

The semi-final first legs will be played on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 May, with the returns the following week.

They triumphed 4-1 after extra time in Lisbon in 2013-14 and edged Atletico on penalties in Milan last term after the game ended 1-1.

Juventus, fresh from their 3-0 aggregate win over Barcelona, will take on Monaco, the least fancied in the competition.

Monaco will play Juventus in the Champions League semi-final after beating Borussia Dortmund in the quarters.

Real Madrid are also the team that have been present in the semi-finals the most times throughout the competition.

Mookie Betts struck the decisive blow on a three-run double against Jason Grilli in the 10th to win the contest and the series. Estrada was similarly at a loss to explain both the defeat and where the Blue Jays find themselves in the standings.

That's not to say Juventus's attack is lacking, with Argentine stars Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain leading the line for a club looking to reach its second final in three years. The return leg will take place on 9 and 10 May.

In its seventh straight semifinal, Real is trying to become the first team to repeat as champion since the competition's new format was created in 1992. "I think they can win the Champions League this season", the Spanish worldwide said after Buffon shut out Lionel Messi and Barcelona over 180 minutes of football.

The Italian champion is looking for its first European title since 1996.

The final will be played in Cardiff on June 3.

Freescoring Monaco have scored 24 goals since reaching the group phase, but they will now face a steely Juventus defence which has conceded just two goals in the campaign so far.
