April the giraffe gave birth at a NY zoo as more than a million people around the world watched live. The zoo's giraffe camera will continue to show a livestream of April and her baby until Thursday, April 20.
According to the team, the calf weighs 129 pounds and stands 5 feet 9 inches tall.
"For about 10 days you can vote on any name or names you choose for April's new calf", a statement on the zoo's website said.

The 15-year-old giraffe delivered her calf in an enclosed pen at the private zoo in upstate Harpursville. People all over the world patiently tuned in for her birth, and on 7:00 a.m. ET, April 15, she began her labor and gave birth shortly before 10:00 a.m. ET. About 45 minutes after he was born, he stood on wobbly legs while mom helped keep him steady.
Patch said the birth of the new calf is a "huge accomplishment" for Animal Adventure Park.
"It's too amusing that Baby G is camera shy (unlike #AprilTheGiraffe) and chooses the one corner we can't see - well played baby boy!" commented one Twitter user.
Responders stop North Slope oil leak
In 2006, a corroded pipeline released almost 5,000 barrels of crude oil, the largest oil spill in the North Slope at the time. The ADEC also said that two leaks have been identified at the well, one near the top and one further down the well assembly.
"Mom had a ideal delivery, flawless birthing", he said.
April became famous in February when YouTube canceled her live stream feed for a short while after some complaints from animal rights activists. This is his first offspring. The money will be used for the care of the animals.
A Farmington, New Hampshire, songwriter even posted a music video on YouTube called, "I'm Going Crazy Waiting (For A Giraffe)".
The zoo is holding a contest to name the baby, charging $1 per vote, with proceeds being split among wild giraffe conservation efforts, zoo upgrades and support for families of children experiencing unexpected medical expenses.
The privately owned zoo began livestreaming from April's enclosure in February.
Animal Adventure park is now closed to the public and will open in mid-May. Their population has plunged from as many as 163,000 in 1985 to just over 97,000 past year, International Union for Conservation of Nature reported. The calf was born hooves-first, followed by its snout.
