At least 14 people were arrested after opponents of President Donald Trump and supporters clashed at a march in Berkeley, California, US media said Saturday. The two forces met Saturday during the pro-Trump Patriot Day rally.
Police said they seized several prohibited items from the protesters including, flagpoles, signs attached to poles, a knife, and a stun gun, according to ABC station KGO-TV.
Berkeley police say they've known about the rally and counter demonstration for some time.
In February, protesters threw rocks, broke windows and set fires outside the University of California, Berkeley's student union building, where then-Breitbart News editor and provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos was set to speak.

"We march to demand that the president release his returns, as he has repeatedly promised, but failed, to do", reads the Tax March website.

Social media posts described a "small blast", the use of tear gas and pepper spray, fireworks being lit, and a man covering his eyes as blood covered his hands and dripped down his face.
Tens of thousands of people marched through midtown Manhattan and dozens of U.S. cities on Saturday to demand Trump release his tax returns and to dispute his claim that the public does not care about the issue. Protesters say Americans deserve to know about Trump's potential conflicts of interest.
Democrats are pushing for a vote on a bill from Rep. Anna Eshoo, a Democrat from California, which would require the president and all major-party nominees to publicly disclose their previous three years of tax returns with the Office of Government Ethics or the Federal Election Commission.
