At a New Democrat campaign rally in Surrey on Sunday, Official Opposition leader John Horgan accused Clark's government of being beholden to wealthy donors and corporate lobbyists.

The sky-high cost of home ownership has been a high-profile issue in the province, but Horgan says it's time that more attention is paid to renters who face affordability challenges.

"They've got to be a lot more creative than just saying freeze the rates, because that just adds to the problem".

Respondents said they thought Clark would be best at handling the economy and jobs, and energy and pipelines, and that she's the preferred choice for managing the province's finances and transportation projects. "That's what makes it possible for us to make some of these changes and make some of these investments".

He is an articulate spokesman for the progressive, alternative agenda the Greens are promoting - one that, if polls are to be believed, is increasingly being viewed as more attractive than what the Liberals and NDP are offering. He is also seen as the leader who "shares the views of most British Columbians" on childcare, seniors care, fundraising for political parties and helping residents become homeowners.
