On Tuesday, President Trump took to Twitter and tweeted, "North Korea is looking for trouble", concerning its nuclear weapons development program and asked China for assistance.
James Caruso, the U.S. charge d'affaires based in Canberra, told The Australian "extreme concern" was mounting about North Korea's intentions after the rogue state yesterday declared it was ready for "war" and had its "nuclear sight" trained on America over what it sees as acts of aggression by the Trump administration. "If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them", Trump said.
"On the other hand, if China continues to adhere to its middle road strategy of supporting sanctions but not pressuring North Korea too much, it may be playing with borrowed time as the USA patience wears thin".
Pyongyang is always extremely sensitive to the annual U.S.
There was no mention of its nuclear weapons programme or being under threat from the United States.
Satellite imagery shows North Korea is positioning itself for a nuclear test for later this month, despite China's decision to ban most coal imports in February in response to a globally-decried missile test.
Pyongyang, meanwhile, warned of "catastrophic consequences" if Washington tried to follow up its Syria attack in North Korea. At the same time, Washington has said all options - including military ones - are on the table and that a USA strike last week against Syria should serve as a warning to Pyongyang. A U.S. Navy strike group led by a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier is en route to the western Pacific with talk of military action by the United States gaining traction following its strikes last week against Syria.

Some initial reports said the manhandled passenger was Chinese-American, and outrage quickly erupted on Chinese social media. The airline earlier said that it was investigating what happened after videos provoked a social media outcry.
The president made clear his hope that China will pressure its neighbor and close ally to stop its nuclear program.
"We will hold the USA wholly accountable for the catastrophic consequences to be entailed by its outrageous actions", a North Korean foreign ministry spokesman said in a report published by the state-run Korean Central News Agency.
Foreign media are not allowed to attend parliamentary sessions. North Korea's parliament convened with Kim Jong Un taking the center seat. Another closely watched category on the official agenda was organizational issues, which can mean new appointments of officials to senior positions.
Stone Fish said getting US beef on Chinese tables is going to be easier than getting China to allow Twitter or Facebook on phones and computers there.
A military parade is expected in the North's capital, Pyongyang, to mark the day.
However the United States is trying to push for stronger action in an effort to intimidate North Korea into falling into line.
