Whatever system you choose to use, remember the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292 million.

Powerball is played in 44 states, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. The drawing will take place at 10:59 p.m. It's been a year and a month since three winning tickets were sold for a $1.59 billion jackpot.

Winning tickets must be redeemed in the state where purchased regardless of where the victor lives.
